Bogotá, 28 de octubre de 2015 (CD) The former president and senator, Álvaro Uribe Vélez, said this Wednesday that he does not understand why the government insists on putting the Armed Forces of democracy at the same level of terrorism, while referring to the bilateral ceasefire that President Juan Manuel Santos announced to begin on January 1st, 2016.

The former president assured that this leveling of terrorism with the Armed Forces is constantly shown in the government through "the vocabulary of the President, in their attitude, and in terms of the political management that they are giving to it".

To support this, Senator Uribe recalled: "This morning I was reading an article in the international press regarding the recruitment of minors by the FARC,  regarding what the forensic pathologists found about the rape of girls committed by the FARC, and about Iván Márquez and 'Timochenko' being convicted for these issues, and I said: 'the government insists on that total impunity, and the government insists on that total eligibility; that is a bad precedent for democracy".
